Job description

The Governors of this highly successful, partially selective, mixed school invite applications for the post of Teacher of Physics. We seek a highly motivated and energetic candidate to join our very successful and very well resourced Science Department. Three quarters of GCSE students take triple sciences, with the remaining entering Combined Sciences. Science is a very popular option at A-Level and with 6 A-Level Physics classes, this post provides an excellent opportunity for an ECT or experienced teacher wishing to develop their A-Level teaching.

In the 2023 A level examinations:

• 79% of 53 A Level Physics student were graded A*-B, with 60% graded A*-A

In 2023 GCSE examinations:

• 82% of GCSE Physics results were graded 9-7, with 44% of grades being a grade 9
