Exciting Opportunity for a Teaching Assistant!
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Position: Teaching Assistant
Hours: 08:30 - 15:30, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
Salary: £76 per day (£11.68 per hour) minimum for a 6.5-hour day.
Probation Period: 12 working weeks with the potential for permanent placement
Start date: Either January 2024 or ASAP. Please enquire even if this date has passed.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support to students with SEND
Lead small intervention groups to address individual learning needs
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
Assist with classroom activities and tasks as directed by the teacher
Contribute to the planning and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
Desired Experience (not essential):
Previous experience working with children or young people
Understanding of SEND or learning disabilities and familiarity with various learning support strategies
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
Passion for education and supporting the unique needs of each child

Patience and empathy in working with students with diverse needs
Adaptability and a positive attitude towards professional development
Strong communication skills with both students and colleagues
A proactive and solution-focused approach to challenges
Ability to maintain a calm and supportive presence, especially in challenging situations
Qualifications:
While formal Teaching Assistant qualifications are not necessary, we are looking for individuals who are committed to the role, the students, and their own professional development.
