This is an exciting opportunity to join our People Directorate within the newly formed Culture & OD team as an OD Consultant working on the organisational development programme for the Trust.

Main duties of the job To support the Trust's most strategically important programmes, designing, delivering and evaluating interventions to improve team effectiveness and performance in addition to developing and supporting the organisational strategy through organisational design. This includes structure as well as governance both internally and externally working in collaboration with partners across the health, care and wider systems. In support of the Trust's ambitions to be a high performing organisation, the OD Consultant will deliver a programme of leadership development across the Trust to embed a strong culture of positive, compassionate leadership behaviours.

Working for our organisation We provide mental health and learning disability care for children, young people and adults across Sussex and for children and young people in Hampshire.

Person specification Qualifications Essential criteria - First degree or equivalent level of education / proven experience in the field of OD or related discipline
- Highly developed specialist knowledge, through experience or professional qualification, of Organisational Development, Leadership Development or Talent Management
- Member of CIPD or equivalent
Knowledge & Experience Essential criteria - An understanding of the background and aims of the NHS national people plan
- Experience of working as an internal consultant within an organisation
- Experience of working with leaders to improve staff experience
- Experience of communicating with Board or Executive level colleagues within an organisation and across a network
- Experience of leading and managing complex projects and delivering identified benefits
- Track record of delivering high quality results at pace
- Experience of developing and implementing large scale organisational development interventions
- Ability to develop and deliver change management
- Part of a high performing workforce or OD function which has enabled business transformation
- Experience of working closely with a wide range of stakeholders, able to influence and lead change at the highest level
- Knowledge and experience of methods in qualitative and quantitative review and evaluation of the OD service
- Experience of setting up and implementing internal processes and procedures
- Experience of drafting briefing reports and correspondence at senior management level
- Experienced in developing, writing and launching strategies with supporting implementation and engagement plans
- National NHS Agenda including the People Plan and People Promise including linked national performance targets
