Applicant Options New Search Login Job Details Help Terms of Use & Privacy Policy   Job Details Senior Technician Department of Biomedical Services, IDRM, Roosevelt Drive, Headington, Oxford, OX3 The core purpose of the University of Oxford’s Biomedical Services (BMS) is to provide for the care and welfare of animals in experimental research and in doing so we support the scientific community across the University. We are, in effect, an internal business with researchers as our customers.

At BMS, IDRM we are seeking to recruit a Senior Technician , this is a full-time permanent position, 36.5 hours per week.

Your focus as a Senior Technician is to ensure that the day to day care of the animals is carried out to those standards set out in both the Home Office Code of Practice and the University’s standard policy.

Attending the Home Office licencing course, run by the university, is required, as is the holding of a Personal Individual Licence to allow you to perform minor procedures under the Home Office regulations.

About you You must have a good comprehensive knowledge of the Animals Scientific Procedures) Act 1986 and we are also looking for someone who holds an active Home Office Personal Licence.
