Job description
The Despatch Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating warehouse activities, utilising warehouse management systems (WMS), and supporting all functions within the warehouse.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring timely outbound operations, resolving operational queries, and maintaining a high level of service for both customers and internal teams.
This Despatch Coordinator will report to the Despatch Manager.
Key responsibilities:
- Support outbound warehouse operations, ensuring orders are processed efficiently and accurately.
- Coordinate operations to meet vehicle departure times, optimising delivery schedules.
- Resolve queries related to WMS and operational processes, providing timely solutions.
- Assist in broader warehouse functions when required, contributing to a seamless operation.
- Collaborate with the warehouse administration team to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Maintain a commitment to delivering exceptional service to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Adhere to company Health and Safety policies and procedures, promoting a safe working environment for all staff.
About you:
- Punctual with excellent time management skills, able to meet deadlines effectively.
- Prior experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is preferable.
- Proficient in Office 365 applications, with the ability to utilise various programs.
- Proactive, friendly, and approachable demeanour, with a willingness to assist others.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a busy team, adapting to changing priorities.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and customers.
- Highly organised, with keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks.
