Salary: up to £28,000 per annum pro rata / 20 hours per week (negotiable)

SkylarksCharity is seeking a part-time Play Session Leader to join their dedicated team supporting children with additional needs and their families.

Reporting to the Senior Activities Leader, you will help deliver activities and services. Most of the charity’s activities occur in the Richmond and Hounslow boroughs, and are delivered both online and face-to-face, both during term-time and holiday time.

The purpose of this role is to deliver a programme of activities for Skylarks’ families. This includes play sessions, activities and workshops for children and young people with disabilities and/or additional needs and their siblings, information workshops, support groups, and activities for parent-carers to increase their wellbeing.

You will ensure the safety and wellbeing of children attending activities and support the families, children and volunteers during the sessions and help the Operations Team with volunteer management. The includes the induction and support of volunteers.

Play Sessions will be delivered, working with the Senior Activities Leader and other Play Session Leaders, on weekdays, Monday to Friday, including Tuesday afternoon/early evening.

Off-site and holiday activities delivered in conjunction with the Senior Activities Leader include, for example, Pedal Project, All Aboard Club, horse riding, and outings at various locations (eg. Hampton, Ham, Barnes and Hounslow).

The charity’s online activities using Zoom, delivered in conjunction with service providers, include sessions such as interactive drama/music, and online support groups.

The post is offered on a part-time permanent contract basis.

Candidates must be able to work from home for administrative purposes.

There will be some flexibility in the delivery of hours but you must be available on weekdays, Monday to Friday, including Tuesday until 7pm.
