About the role
We are looking for a passionate, caring manager who will encourage staff and children to reach their full potential. The setting offers places for 2–5-year-olds from 8.30-4.00 pm Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate will hold a relevant level 3 qualification in early years or above and will have at least 3 years post qualifying experience. Experience of supervising staff, supporting and leading the curriculum is beneficial but not essential. You will work alongside the senior management team to support a small team of practitioners in the day to day running of the setting. Safeguarding and SEND experience are also desirable as is your ability to lead and understand staff dynamics.
Responsibilities
• Supporting and supervising staff and children in the setting.
• Implementing and embedding policies and practice
• Liaise with local authority, social services and other professional bodies who work alongside us.
• You will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring all welfare and statutory Ofsted requirements are met at all times.
• Overseeing SEND and Safeguarding practices with support of the DSL and SENCO

• Teeny tots (within Christopher Pickering Primary School)
• You may be required to cover at other settings.
Candidate requirements
• At least Level 3 qualification in early years (as dictated as full and relevant on the qualification checker on the DFE website)
• 3 years post qualifying experience.
• Experience of supervising staff desirable
• Experience of Safeguarding and SEND required.
