Associated Calibration and Training are now recruiting for a Calibration Engineer to join the team based in Stoke On Trent!
ACT supply and service test and measurement equipment used in electrical, gas and environmental applications!
Calibration Engineer – The Role
You will be responsible for calibrate testing and measurement equipment and at our premises in Stoke-on-Trent and on-site throughout the UK.
Responsibilities;
• To be responsible for the calibration of test equipment within given deadlines. You must be able to organise and prioritise work and ensure a fast and efficient throughput of customer’s equipment.
• To undertake on-site calibration services. To be willing to travel (overnight stays will be required.) You must be flexible, reliable and dependable.
• To liase with customers on technical issues relating to test equipment.
• To be responsible for all associated spares and accessories required for the job.
• Maintain and develop excellent product knowledge.
• To undertake all relevant training as required.
• To undertake collections and deliveries where and when required.
• To be responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the company’s van at all times.
• To utilise all associated computer systems in the provision of the service, inc. Word, Excel, ProCal and ACT2000 etc.
• To work as part of a team and to also show initiative and flexibility when required.
• Working outside of normal working hours will be required on occasion as will overnight stays (overtime and overnight allowances are paid.)
• To be professional at all times, through dress and behaviour, etc.
• To comply with all company policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality at all times.
• To be responsible for all equipment and tools allocated to this position.
• Must adhere to health and safety requirements and were personal protective equipment as required.
• To provide any other duties associated with the post.
• The ideal candidate will have experience calibrating or using test equipment or experienced in electrical testing.
• You must have a full clean driving licence, be a confident team player and be able to work unsupervised.
• You must have good communication skills, a good standard of education and experience in the use of IT especially Microsoft Office.
• You will be responsible for calibrating test and measurement for our clients nationwide.
• The role requires travel to sites throughout the UK and overnight stays hence you must demonstrate flexibility, reliability and dependability.
