Level 2 Teaching Assistant LEVEL 2 TEACHING ASSISTANT x 32.5 hours per week TO TAKE UP POST as soon as possibleHours of work: 8.30 a.m. until 3.30 p.m., Mondays to Fridays with half an hour unpaid lunch during term time plus 5 staff training days (INSET)Scale and salary Band 3 Point 5-6 £21,575 to £21,968 pro rata to the post. Taylor Road Primary School is a popular, multi-ethnic, inner-city primary school where pupils thrive and work together as part of an inclusive and collaborative community. We are a larger than average primary school with currently 650 pupils on roll housed in our purpose-built school which opened in 2009.

We work closely with Leicester City Council and the local schools alongside being part of Leicester Primary Partnership.Taylor Road Primary School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning interventions, ensuring every child receives the best education possible.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage pupils in learning and create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Act as a role model, demonstrating the STARFISH Values to inspire and motivate our pupils.
Collaborate with teachers to share progress and outcomes, contributing to the overall assessment and evaluation process.
Provide support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and English as an Additional Language, ensuring their individual needs are met.
Demonstrate a commitment to the learning of all pupils, fostering a love for education and personal growth.
Possess first aid and diabetes training, ensuring the safety and well-being of our students (training can be given).
Requirements:
Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
Proven experience in supporting teaching and learning within a primary school setting.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
A genuine passion for education and a desire to make a difference in the lives of young learners.
Dedication to continuous professional development and a willingness to learn and adapt.
