About the role:

As a Customer Service Assistant at Northern, you'll serve as the primary point of contact for our customers, ensuring they receive exceptional support and information. You'll be offering guidance on journey planning, delays, selling tickets, and maintaining station safety and appearance. Working as a Rest Day Relief, you will cover shifts within the roster for colleagues on rest days and will be based at this location, plus other stations within the local area.

Dedication to Customer Service: Demonstrated commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

IT Proficiency: Comfortable in using IT and able to learn new systems quickly and confidently.

Initiative: Confidence and capability to work independently.
Driving Licence: A full driving licence and personal transport for travelling between stations in the local area.

Our trains and stations operate 7 days a week across a whole range of different hours – early morning and right into the night. So if your lifestyle enables you to work flexible shifts on an average of 35 hours per week this could work for you.
