Job description

What you will do in your working day

This manufacturing apprentice role will enable you to learn the skills required to be able to assist the production department, resources, and systems to ensure the company maintains a high-quality product, always in line with company policies, regulatory standards, and statutory guidelines/deadlines.

At the end of the apprenticeship with the training provided and qualifications achieved we expect that you will become fully competent in being a manufacturing operative and be able to complete the following duties:

The training you will be getting

The apprenticeship will consist of a combination of block release at CATCH in Stallingborough and onsite with your employer.

You will complete the level 3 Process Industry Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship Standard including the City & Guilds Level 3 - 0610 in Process Technology.

In addition to this you will also complete a Level 2 and Level 3 qualification in Papermaking.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

We will give you a permanent employment contract from day one. So, at the end of your 3-year apprenticeship there will be a job ready and waiting for you to move into.

You will have a clear development plan which will outline each year the things you will learn and what you have to do to achieve a salary increase.

You will also have developed a variety of interchangeable skills and have an in depth understanding of the papermaking industry.
