Our client are a Top 5 European Wind Energy company headquartered in Denmark. Due to their growing portfolio of projects they are seeking to recruit 2 experienced Wind Farm Commissioning Technicians to work on their portfolio throughout Scotland and Ireland.
- Your role as the Wind Farm Commissioning Technician will see you interface regularly with the Service Management, Client, internal technical team, other Onshore wind farms, contractors and the local community.
- Understanding of basic AC/DC electrical circuits and ability to T/S and conduct circuit analysis (24VDC, 166VDC, 120, 230, 400, 575, 690VAC)
- Verify electrical connections and schematics
- Perform commissioning procedures
- Document all work performed
- Follow all assigned Environmental, Health and Safety procedures
- Verify that the work is completed in compliance with customer’s requirements
- Install turbine control software and operating parameters
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems
- Repair or replace parts
- Responsible for immediate report of errors, violations or problems to Senior Management lead for action.
- Responsible for performing all tasks assigned by the site management.
- Comply with all Quality Processes
- Perform other duties as assigned
A minimum of two years of experience as a Wind Turbine Commissioning Technician
Trade background or electrical qualification or the equivalent
Wind Energy Certification
Flexibility to work overtime and rotating shifts as required
Previous experience working with hand tools and power tools
Able to work independently in a fast paced team environment
