Role – Maintenance engineer (mechanical or electrical bias)

Location – North Yorkshire, commutable from (York, Selby, Goole, Wakefield, Sherburn In Elmet, North Leeds)

Salary - £47k + Attendance bonus and plenty of overtime

Holidays – 33 days

Shifts – 3 rotating shifts with an early finish every Friday

ATA Recruitment are working in partnership with a fantastic client in North Yorkshire who are the fasted growing independent FMCG Manufacturer in Europe. My client is looking for a motivated Maintenance engineer and require you to be either be mechanically or electrically bias.

You will be joining a team of 17 highly skilled maintenance engineers to undertake planned preventative maintenance – you will be a joining a team with a strong team work ethic and will have ongoing support from the maintenance engineers on shift as well as the engineering manager. Training and development are at the forefront of my client and they have budgets in place to provide tailor made training to suit you and the business needs.

The Role

Your day-to-day responsibilities as a Maintenance Engineer will include:

• The planned and reactive maintenance and service of all the state-of-the-art kit on site at site.
• Working as part of a large on-site maintenance engineering team of 17 engineers.
• Mechanically you will mainly be replacing worn out parts on the conveyors which will include rollers, bearings, gearboxes, pneumatics.
• Electrical work will include reading through electrical schematics, utilizing electrical test equipment such as multi-meters and fault finding on panels.
• Interpret engineering drawings

The Person

To be successful in your application for a Maintenance Engineer you will need:

• An electrical or mechanical NVQ Level 3 qualification, time served
• Maintenance experience in a high speeds production, manufacturing, FMCG environment is highly desirable but not essential
