We are looking for an experienced Associate Accountant who would have strong knowledge of month end close, monthly management and financial reporting and good understanding of UK VAT returns, tax credit claims and general compliance.

Duties will include:
- Preparing and posting selected general ledger journals
- Completing general ledger transactions analysis
- Prepare profit and loss ledger accounts analysis and reconcile all balance sheet accounts
- Prepare and publish monthly standalone and consolidated statements
- Compile and release daily/weekly management information reports
- Automate reports over time using Power BI platform
- Support Financial Controller during the annual budgeting process
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders regarding fixed assets additions being deployed
- Prepare functional budget analysis vs. actuals for selected European Cost Centres
- Prepare UK VAT returns, audit transactions to ensure VAT rules are correctly applied
Skills and Experience Required:
- 2+ years’ experience working in a similar role within a fast-paced Finance team
- Hold an accounting qualification or working towards (for example AAT or CIMA)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, ability to use wide range of formulas and present data effectively
- Experience using Microsoft D365 – significant advantage
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- An eye for detail with good analytical skills
