Job description
Salary: Band 5 - £16,460 - £17,616 p.a. (£24,362 - £26,073 p.a. FTE)
Hours: 25 Hours per week (days/hours worked are negotiable)
Contract: fixed term / secondment to 31 March 2025 or sooner should the post holder return.

Your New Role
You will provide technical assistance and consultation support to the Transport Planning Team, supporting the functions of the team including Park & Ride, bike share, the rental e-scooter trial, electric vehicle charging, consultations, and other transport planning projects.
You will also be responsible for the administerial tasks, including the raising of purchase orders and processing of invoices as directed by more senior team members. You will also be required to remain up to date and compliant with all relevant organisational procedures, policies and professional codes of conduct in order to uphold standards of best practice.
What you’ll need to succeed
You will have good communication skills and experience of dealing with customers, providing advice and guidance, as well as being able to build effective relationships and have a positive influence on stakeholders and colleagues.
You will have a good working knowledge of Microsoft applications and good general IT skills. You will have good numerical analysis skills to be able to understand and work within a budget, and to discuss and negotiate prices with suppliers.
