Role Profile:

We have an opportunity for a Relationship Manager to join the team in Northern Ireland. The role is based in Lisnaskea, Co. Fermanagh and reports to the Head of Milk Pool. The position has the responsibility of attending to Tirlán milk suppliers in the counties Fermanagh, Tyrone, and Armagh. The Relationship Manager is responsible for ensuring a good relationship with the suppliers while maintaining the milk delivered by these suppliers is of the highest quality and fully compliant with the standards as set out in the annual Milk Purchasing Policy document. Ensuring that all suppliers are consistently certified to Red Tractor, the Relationship manager must also manage the relevant co-operative representative structure and implement supplier schemes as they are developed.

Key Requirements:

• Manage the office in Lisnaskea and ensure it is staffed on a daily basis.
• Ensure all milk supplier samples are tested for antibiotics in a timely manner as required.
• Manage and participate in the out-of-hours rota for bulk tank antibiotic testing.
• Manage supplier queries in relation to milk quality and Red Tractor assurance or other related queries. Analyse and interpret related data and liaise with the relevant Milk Supply Manager.
• Manage the roll out of specific schemes to milk suppliers.
• Manage supplier compliance including Red Tractor, TB, G-mean, antibiotics and residues.
• Respond to out of spec lab results from milk suppliers and follow up appropriately
• Supporting milk supplier to adhere to Milk Purchasing Policy
• Promotion and implementation of sustainability initiatives as they arise
• Organise and assemble the monthly brucellosis samples for NI suppliers.
• Complete month-end test results’ reviews/appeals, in conjunction with the relevant Milk Supply Manager.
• Recruit and setup of new suppliers, with full MPP compliance
• Liaise with transport to ensure a seamless assembly process as required
• Ensure that the administration process of Change of Account and other such process are adhered to in a timely manner
• Continuation of best-in-class supplier relationship
• Manage the NI supplier meetings as well as the Tirlán Representative structure in an efficient manner

Experience and Attributes:

• Experience of the dairy industry and milk markets is an essential requirement.
• Degree or higher is an advantage but not essential
• A strong working knowledge of IT systems including Microsoft and SAP with the ability to learn other systems
• Extensive experience in the agricultural industry with strong local market knowledge
• Regulation and compliance in agriculture
• Milk quality standards and composition
• Face-to-face customer service and support in a quality and compliance context
