Job description
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Motion Control Simulation Engineer - Vehicle Dynamics to join our client’s team, a world-renowned luxury car manufacturer. The successful candidate will design and deliver the simulation environments and models for the Vehicle Motion Controller, including vehicle dynamics and chassis systems, ensuring their integration with other software modules and other relevant vehicle systems.
The Motion Control Simulation Engineer - Vehicle Dynamics will:
Develop simulation models for vehicle dynamics and chassis System including ECUs, to be integrated in the SIL environment.
Ensure software deliverables are delivered in line with the system design specification.
Support the specification of SW / HW tools required for the development activity.
Define the interfaces and interactions between all Software Modules and the Simulation Test Environment.
Support Functional Safety activities according to ISO26262 and Failure Mode Analysis as required.
The Motion Control Simulation Engineer - Vehicle Dynamics will have:
Experience with the Mathworks toolchain (e.g., Matlab, Simulink, Embedded Coder)
General understanding of vehicle controllers, systems and / or features, e.g., chassis and / or EV powertrain and / or ADAS.
Experience in vehicle dynamics and chassis components simulations modeling (including ECUs)
Degree level in Electrical / Software Engineering or related discipline.
Understanding of automotive homologation and legal / regulatory requirements and testing for chassis systems.
