About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary SEMH Teacher to join our team at a SEMH Primary, located in the vibrant community of Warrington. As a Primary SEMH Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of young learners who require additional support with their social, emotional, and mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging and differentiated lesson plans tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with SEMH challenges.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes emotional well-being and positive behaviour management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educational psychologists, social workers, and support staff, to provide holistic support to students.
- Regularly assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly, ensuring all learners have equal access to educational opportunities.
- Establish strong partnerships with parents and caregivers to promote continuity of care and support both in school and at home.
- Actively participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills in supporting students with SEMH needs.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching primary-aged students preferably within a SEMH setting.
- A deep understanding of SEMH challenges and evidence-based strategies to support student well-being and academic progress.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
- Resilience, empathy, and a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of vulnerable young learners.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of students and contribute effectively to a collaborative team environment.
