Job description
We are currently seeking a new trainee to join our expanding tax team at our Maidenhead office. The start date would be flexible for the right candidate.
Working within the Donald Reid Group tax team offers a varied and broad experience which will offer a good grounding for a successful career. Our trainees work with clients from a variety of sectors and will gain experience of corporation and personal tax in addition to accounts.
Within the role of a tax trainee, you would have exposure to the following:
• Self-assessment tax returns
• Capital gains tax reports
• Corporation tax returns
• P11Ds
• ATED returns
• EIS/SEIS compliance statements
• EMI/ Share schemes
• Assisting partners and managers with tax planning
Our tax team in Maidenhead is relatively modest, which provides the successful applicant to experience a range of taxes, working alongside the tax director and managers on a daily basis. The role can be adapted over time to direct it towards their strengths.
As part of their training contract, the successful applicant will receive paid study leave and tuition for their ICAEW and CTA exams, as well as being provided with on the on the job experience required for qualification as a Chartered Accountant and Tax Advisor.
The role is suitable for both graduates and school leavers demonstrating a very strong academic record.
As the job is client facing, applicants should be able to demonstrate good inter-personal skills, as well as a hard working attitude and a commitment to success.

Our central office is based in Maidenhead, Berkshire, with a growing team approaching 50 employees. The office is run by four partners, all with different areas of expertise.
