Location: BHF Priory Centre, Barnsley
Reporting To: CEO
Salary: £28,000 per annum (plus quarterly bonus)
Shift: Full Time/Part Time, Monday – Friday
We are seeking a motivated Business Development Manager to join a dynamic team. As our client embarks on new business ventures, they require a proactive individual to drive sales, manage client relationships, and contribute to the growth and development of their services. From GDPR compliance to tailored cleaning solutions, their diverse portfolio includes Arc Data Protection Services, BHF Cleaning Solutions, BHF Priory Centre, and Priory Kitchen.
Job Summary: As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for generating and pursuing new business opportunities, maintaining client relationships, and contributing to the overall growth of the organisation. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a vital role in implementing sales strategies, negotiating contracts, and becoming a subject matter expert.
As a Business Development Manager you will cover all areas of the business which include:
Arc Data Protection Services – Specialising in GDPR compliance and outsourced data protection.
BHF Cleaning Solutions – A fully tailored cleaning service for your office and medical facilities.
BHF Priory Centre – A building based in Lundwood providing meeting rooms, space for corporate events, social events and parties.
Priory Kitchen – Onsite café, specialising in freshly prepared food for walk ins, corporate events, and parties.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: - Drive new sales opportunities across all business areas, exceeding sales targets.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with prospective and current clients, ensuring their needs are met.
- Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and analyse customer needs.
- Attend networking meetings to pursue new business opportunities and build relationships.
- Negotiate contracts, close sales deals, and manage contractual requirements.
- Assist with internal and external events and meetings, including venue arrangements and agenda distribution.
- Collaborate with the finance department to ensure organisational objectives are met.
- Produce reports and analytics on sales performance and future prospects.
- Manage and communicate risks within the organisation and across services.
- Undertake bid management and bid writing to secure future deals.
- Engage with external agencies and healthcare professionals to build a solid network for project and business expansion.
Skills Required:
- Proven experience as a result-driven Business Development Manager, this role is ideal for someone looking for their next steps, growth, or progression opportunity.
- Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of bid management and bid writing (advantageous).
- Knowledge of marketing and negotiating techniques.
