An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Senior Early Years Officer (SEYO) to act as lead practitioner in providing high quality learning experiences for children aged 3-5 years at Sacred Heart Primary School, Early Learning and Childcare Class.
Early learning and childcare is available for 5 days per week. The ELC Class operates 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday and is open term time only .
You will have a well-developed knowledge and understanding of current national guidance relating to early learning and childcare and will be able to evidence this in your practice. Experience in a senior role would be advantageous.
You will hold as a minimum an HNC in Childcare and Education (or equivalent) allowing you to register as a practitioner with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) without conditions. You should be able to demonstrate your commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.
The position is part time (14.8 hours worked over 2 days Monday and Tuesday), term time and is permanent within Falkirk Council Children’s Services. Please note that the salary will be adjusted accordingly for part time and term time.
