- JSat Automation is looking to hire an Operational Technology and Network Security Engineer.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the OT security expert for our clients
- Oversee the OT security compliance of our client sites and follow OT security standards
- Train and mentor staff on basic cyber security matters, through regular interaction and engagements Have hands-on experience in automation and OT networks, with the ability to work on both network and control panel levels
- Execute testing documents (IQ/OQ protocols) as part of the client's validation procedures
- Review and sign project design documents and be a liaison with system SME’s to meet both job site requirements and OT standards
- Manage OT security risks and incidents, acting as the client security expert. This includes:
- Supporting cyber security incidents and responding to OT security alerts
- Apply control measures (windows patches, antivirus scans, to mitigate cyber security risks as directed by the client
- Assist with OT gap assessments
- Coordinate and supervise third party doing OT work and provide them with dedicated laptops to do work.
- Sign off on acceptance of work (where applicable) on behalf of the client
- Advocate for OT Cyber Security
- Act as the OT Network technical authority on related matters when required
- Maintain OT security standards for the existing OT infrastructure for client
- Manage access to OT systems
- Provide technical expertise to support all automation and control systems
- Manage change controls related to OT security
- Maintain the automation system register (Only PLCs, HMIs, etc.)
Qualifications and Skillset
- Proven Experience in networks
- Good understanding of IT IS Infrastructure
- Good understanding of CISCO network switches
- Basic understanding of Firewalls
- Experience in configuring windows servers (used in the Automation space)
- Proven Experience in delivering Operational Technology Cyber Security projects
- Self-motivated individual (take initiatives to change the culture around the existent ways of working)
- Resilience to adhere to the procedures / standards
- Good problem-solving skills (deal with complex network issues)
- Flexibility (e.g. respond quickly to alerts and cyber security incidents)
- 2+ years of industry experience is required
- Following Knowledge/experience is a plus but not mandatory:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering and information technology.
- Familiarity of control systems including DeltaV, Rockwell, Siemens, Wonderware, OPC Servers, Thin Clients, etc
- Familiarity of virtualization technologies including HyperV and VMware
- Familiarity of infrastructure networking
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
