Who we are:
Cambian Group is one of the UK's leading children's specialist education and behavioural health service providers.
School Profile:

Pupils are placed in Scarborough School by local authorities and most pupils have an Education Health and Care plan in place.
At Cambian Scarborough School there is a loyal and committed team of staff in place who work very hard on behalf of the pupils who attend. Pupils at Scarborough School are here because they are unable to attend mainstream education for a range of reasons and some have missed significant periods of education prior to joining the school.
Scarborough School aims to re-engage pupils with their learning in a safe and caring environment where their feelings of failure and frustration are replaced with a sense of belonging and success. The school provides child-centred, high quality education to enable pupils to achieve their personal best.
Candidate Profile:

If you have an interest in working with pupils who have special educational needs this is an ideal place to use your skills in this highly rewarding and challenging field of education. Our teaching takes place in small bespoke classes with tailor made timetables.
Working as part of a committed team, we are looking for someone who can cater for the diverse needs of our pupils.
Our pupils often have complex needs, associated learning difficulties and challenging behaviours. The role is to provide high quality support children with SEMH needs, to work alongside teaching staff to support pupil behaviour, learning and personal development.
When an individual pupil requires more intense 1:1 support your primary role in school will be to provide this specialist provision.
Cambian is committed to Safeguarding and protecting the young people and service users within our care. All candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and reference checks. Cambian is an equal opportunities employer.
Cambian will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children.
