Job description
Vivien of Holloway is looking for a Studio/Production Intern to support our development and production team. This role is suitable for candidates on/from a fashion design, or technical course, such as garment technology and/or pattern cutting.
Suitable applicants will have experience in a photo studio . The role involves taking straightforward product shots of clothes on ghost mannequins against a white background. Therefore, knowledge of photography and studio lighting is necessary.
The successful applicant will have a fantastic opportunity to work and learn from our small yet very professional in-house team. Due to the size of our studio, interns will have a broad range of responsibilities. Varied daily tasks will ensure that you will get a unique, and rare chance to see all sides of the business and a valuable insight into what it takes to run a successful label.
This role includes but is not limited to:
- Studio organisation/tidying
- Assisting with production and studio admin tasks, ensuring that deadlines are met
- Helping to perform monthly stock-taking
- Maintaining office and stockroom space.
- Conducting inventories
- Supporting the Office Team in the day-to-day running of the office
- Assisting the production team with various multi-tasking tasks as needed.
- Working closely with the Dispatch and Production department
- Helping with quality checking garments/receiving factory stock.
Requirements:
- Proficient and comfortable with daily studio work and tasks
- Good practical skills
- Located within a commutable distance from Tottenham
- Basic understanding of Word and Excel
- Highly dedicated, can-do attitude
- Able to work and conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times
- Willing to take on any task, large or small
- Demonstrate a professional demeanour in the studio
- Great eye for detail, level of perfectionism, and organisational skills
- A quick learner and keen to support others within the team
- Work well with others
- Able to multitask and work well under pressure, be hands-on, flexible and adaptable
- Basic understanding of Word and Excel
- Good spoken English
Beneficial:
- An understanding of garment technology and quality checking would be a bonus.
