Our client, an advisory charity centre, is looking for a HR Administrator to cover an 18 month fixed term contract.

Reporting in to the HR Manager, this is a full-time, office-based role; based in one of our clients’ offices with occasional travel to the other Cambridgeshire locations (Huntingdon, Ely, Cambridge, Peterborough).
The HR Administrator will support the small HR team on a variety of HR functions. This is a brilliant opportunity for a HR professional looking to gain further experience to support with career progression.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include:
Recruitment:
- To provide recruitment support for staff and volunteers
- Coordinate the pre and post recruitment administration process working closely with managers recruiting
- Co-ordination of applications and shortlisting
- Interview support and scheduling
- Co-ordination of response to applications and interviews
- Administer the on-boarding process to include seeking references, right to work checks, DBS etc.
- Conduct employee and volunteer inductions
- Be the first point of contact handling recruitment queries including administering the recruitment inbox ensuring timely response to all requests for information.
Human Resources Administration:
- Be the first point of contact for handling HR administrative queries
- Maintain the HR database and associated records through keeping information up to date producing appropriate reports, monitoring its effectiveness and supporting others to use it ensuring compliance with company, legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all HR information is up to date on the shared drive at all times.
- Keep welcome pack up to date.
- Support HR Manager with reporting and administration requirements such as annual leave updates, appraisal uploads, HRSC reports etc.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of HR tasks.
Training:
- Circulate regular updates regarding training
- Co-ordinate monthly staff updates, manage recordings and uploads to the training database
- Co-ordinate booking of ongoing training
- Coordinate venues, catering and bookings for staff training and events
- Collate feedback from training courses.
Other:
- Co-ordinate the venue, catering and wellbeing activities for the staff away days
- Any other duties, as appropriate to role, as agreed by the HR Manager
- Support with building management as and when required
- You will also be required to attend a range of events including staff meetings, AGM and training days.
For this role, it is essential that candidates have the following skills and experience:
- At least 2 years high level administration
- Managing multiple processes and priorities
- Experience of working with personal records, adhering to GDPR principles
- Excellent IT skills with the ability to analyse data and report
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to write complex meeting notes
- Experience of working in a busy office environment
- Good working ability with Excel, Outlook, Word and other Microsoft programs, including databases
- Ability to determine priorities, set realistic timescales and organise own time effectively
- Ability to produce accurate work within deadlines
- Ability to manage a demanding workload with enthusiasm and self-motivation
- Solid team player with ability to work supportively and collaboratively, using own initiative to find solutions
- Understanding of the concerns and issues facing young people.
