Driver/Sales Assistant - Salford
Location: Salford
Pay Rate: £10.80
Shift times: 09:00 - 18:00 - some days you will be required to work 06:45-15:45 but will be made aware of this in advance. (working 5 days over 6) (30 - 40 hours per week)
Manpower is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our National Client based in Salford for a Driver/Store Assistant to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis with an immediate start!
Requirements of the role:
- Working between Monday and Saturday (5 days over 6)
- Delivery within Manchester City Centre
- Loading and unloading
- General Store Assistant Duties
- Retail - Clerical and Stock Control Duties
Good customer service skills are essential. You will be doing roughly 8-10 drops a day, mainly in and around Manchester City Centre. In some cases you may be required to go back out, for a second round of drops in the afternoon. Candidates will also ideally have retail experience. DIY experience/knowledge would be preferred but not essential. Candidates need to have a flexible attitude, duties include serving customers, cash handling, computerised till operation, uploading and stocking displays.
Your responsibilities:
- Take orders over the telephone
- Delivery driving
- Loading and unloading
- Computerised till operation
- Contact customers for orders
- Write customer orders and advice notes
- Carry out general clerical duties as requested by Store Manager
- Forward returns, completed delivery notes etc to Head Office
- Operate Company's stock control system
