Swingtown Golf is an indoor virtual golf centre based in Derry featuring four Trackman4 indoor golf simulator bays which bring the cutting edge of Golf technology as used by the PGA Tour to the people of the North West. We are now seeking a Facility Operator as part of the JobStart Scheme on a part time basis of 25 hours per week. The JobStart Scheme provides funding from the Department of Communities to allow us to create a new job opportunity to help a young person aged 16 to 24 at risk of long term unemployment to enter the job market..

Responsibilities

• The successful applicant will be responsible for the operation of the facility on a day to day basis, including the set up and calibration of the TrackMan bays each day ensuring that all required hardware and software is functioning as expected.
• The successful applicant will be responsible for the greeting of the majority of our customers who are pre-booked in advance upon entry to the facility and showing them to their allocated golf bay.
• Managing bookings: These can be received by telephone, email and at times we will have walk in customers. The successful applicant will be responsible for recording these on our in-house booking platform and daily timetable schedule.
• The successful applicant will be responsible for cash handling and till operations and for processing customer payments with card payment facility in house after full training has been provided.

Essential Skills

• IT competence.
• Willingness to learn new things.

Desirable Skills

• Working with the public.
• Cash handling.
• Card payment handling.
• Knowledge of golf or an interest in golf swing mechanics.
• Familiarity with TrackMan4 Launch Monitors.

Further Information

The Employer is: SWINGTOWN GOLF. Work Time: Various shifts to be confirmed with employer. Salary: 16/17 £5.28, 18/20 £7.49, 21/22 £10.18, 23/24 £10.42 per hour. Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer.
