Job Title: Network Engineer
Location: Liverpool, UK
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum, plus bonus
Are you an experienced Network Engineer with a passion for designing and maintaining robust network infrastructures? We are seeking a skilled professional to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Design and Implementation:
- Plan, design, and implement scalable and secure network solutions.
- Utilise Cisco switches and Fortinet firewalls to optimise network performance.
- Firewall Management:
- Manage and configure Cisco ASA and Fortinet firewalls to ensure the highest level of security.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring a proactive approach to network defense.
- Troubleshooting and Support:
- Provide technical support for network-related issues and incidents.
- Perform troubleshooting to identify and resolve network problems promptly.
- Performance Optimisation:
- Continuously monitor and optimise network performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and reliability of the network.
- Documentation:
- Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including configurations and changes.
- Ensure all network-related processes and procedures are well-documented and adhered to.
Qualifications and Experience: - Proven experience as a Network Engineer with expertise in Cisco switches, Cisco ASA, and Fortinet firewalls.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching technologies.
- Familiarity with network security principles and best practices.
- Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) and Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE) are highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
