Nursery: Bright Horizons Dorking Day Nursery and Preschool

Job Title: Room Leader

Job Type: Full Time - 40 hours per week

Salary: £25,563 - £33,322 ( dependant on qualification/s and experience)

Bright Horizons Dorking Day Nursery and preschool is conveniently located close to Dorking train station. The nursery has been awarded an Ofsted rating of ‘Good’ for their commitment to high quality childcare and education.

What you’ll be doing

Lead, mentor and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education

Ensure the learning environment provides consistent stimulation and engaging activities for the children, across both the indoor and outdoor areas

Deliver and plan rich learning opportunities and exceptional care, to help all children to develop and meet their individual milestones

Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents and/or carers, as well as other professionals, to meet the individual needs of each child

Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding procedures and policies are followed at all times

Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment on a day to day basis

What we’re looking for

Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification

Previous experience working within an Early Years setting (ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator or similar)

Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage

Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children

Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents

Ability to use a variety of techniques to clearly and successfully communicate with both children and adults

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check
