Working in our UK Data Function you'll play a key part in helping our customer facing colleagues deliver exceptional standards of customer service and patient care. As Head of Business Intelligence and Analytics, you'll have an opportunity to do work that matters. Making a difference to the lives of our customers every day.
You will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making across Bupa by leading our transition to a self-service analytics model. You will establish and nurture a Centre of Excellence that enables business users to access and analyse data independently, empowering them to make data-driven decisions.
You'll help us make health happen by:
Define the strategy, vision, and roadmap for transitioning to a self-service analytics model, aligning with business objectives and user needs.
Establish and lead the BI and Analytics Centre of Excellence, responsible for driving the adoption and effectiveness of self-service analytics across the organization.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of BI strategies, while fostering a culture of data literacy, data story telling and analytical thinking.
Establish and nurture relationships with stakeholders across Bupa to understand their analytics requirements and develop self-service analytics solutions to address them.
Evaluate and select appropriate self-service analytics tools and technologies, ensuring they meet the organization's needs for scalability, security, and usability.-
Design and implement self-service analytics governance processes, including data access, data quality, security, and training programs.-
Manage a team of BI and analytics professionals, providing leadership, mentorship, and guidance to drive excellence in self-service analytics capabilities.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
This role requires a strong background in business intelligence, analytics, and a deep understanding of self-service analytics concepts, tools, and best practices. The ideal candidate will also bring:
A track record of establishing or leading a Business Intelligence and Analytics Centre of Excellence, with a specific focus on enabling self-service analytics.-
Good knowledge of business intelligence platforms, data visualization tools, and analytics technologies (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Looker).-
Solid understanding of BI & Analytics data architecture (data marts, star schemas, semantic layers, business glossaries etc)-
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into self-service analytics solutions.-
Project management skills, in particular, prioritising initiatives, managing resources, and delivering on time and within budget.-
The ability to inspire, mentor, and guide a team of BI and analytics professionals.
Experience in developing and delivering training programs or workshops on self-service analytics concepts and tools.-
Knowledge of data governance principles, data security, and privacy regulations
