Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in the Intensive Care Unit.
- Monitor and interpret vital signs, ensuring the timely intervention and appropriate response to changes in the patient’s condition.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues, providing emotional support and information regarding the patient’s condition and progress.
Requirements:
- Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as an Adult Nurse.
- Proven experience working in an Intensive Care Unit, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Sound knowledge of critical care nursing principles, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure, demonstrating excellent decision-making skills in high-stress situations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest advancements in critical care nursing.
- PVG Certificate will be an advantage
