JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to work with a Walk-in Centre in Sevenoaks.

The shifts will run from day to day and you are able to pick and choose at your discretion, we are receiving shifts covering 24 hours 7 days per week.

The Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) will be accountable for their own practice including the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge or referral of patients, independent of medical intervention, who attend the Walk-in-Centre with minor injuries or illness. You are also responsible for all the relevant updates/training that is required for this role.

You will be expected to undertake tasks as delegated by the unit manager, which is to support collaborative working in the development of a clinically excellent patient-centred service.

An Ideal candidate will be

• Be extremely adaptable, competent and motivated in caring for patients
• Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working as an ANP
• Suitable qualifications and have a live NMC membership as an ANP
• You must be able to prescribe
• Assessing, diagnosing and treating patients presenting with a minor injury and minor medical conditions

Advanced Nurse Practitioner Job Description:

The content of this job description is designed to be inclusive of a broad range of tasks which may be performed by an advanced practice nurse. Scope Of  Advanced Nurse  Practitioner  Job:

The advanced practice nurse will be an experienced nurse who holds an appropriate, specific, advanced professional qualification which meets NMC requirements for high-level practice.

The ANP will work with the practice team to provide high-quality care which meets the needs of the practice’s patient population.

Working within defined professional boundaries, they will be able to make safe clinical decisions relating to assessment, diagnosis, treatment and review. The ANP will demonstrate critical thinking ability.

The advanced practice nurse will function as an integral part of the clinical leadership team in the practice, providing advice and guidance to the nursing team to ensure they deliver care based on the needs of the practice’s population.
