Tes is supporting the appointment of a Teacher of Biology to join a High School based in Warsaw, Poland.
The High School are looking for a dynamic, academically-driven teacher to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the High School community, which is already a well-established international school in its eighth year of operation. The school boasts a vibrant academic environment with fantastic faculty members and a supportive administrative team.
About the school:
The High School is an academically-selective school in Warsaw, offering IGCSEs and A Levels alongside Assessed Courses. The majority of their students are preparing to study at Oxbridge, Russell group, and Ivy League universities as well as acclaimed architecture, art and music schools. With a rigorous admissions process and A Level classes taught in the form of undergraduate seminars, the school pursues a pre-university university model. The school offers a robust scholarship programme, with 10% of places allocated to merit-based, partial and full scholarships. The school also supports several educational outreach and community engagement initiatives.
About the job
You will teach Biology to students aged 14-18, across a range of Biology courses at iGCSE and A Level.
The full-time teaching commitment is 20 hours of instruction per week with generous time allowances built into the timetable to facilitate effective preparation, marking, and report writing. Teachers are expected to either be involved in pastoral care (tutoring of a small group) or supporting student clubs and co-curricular activities. The regular school week is from Monday to Friday, with occasional school events happening on weekends (e.g. open days, school trips) that teachers may be required to attend.
