Job description
Civils Change Manager, salaried role, based in North Wales on a major 4–5 year civil infrastructure project. Due to the location, there is an expectation to live on–site Monday to Thursday, with subsidised accommodation and daily meal allowance, including an attractive salary package circa 70k with some exceptional employee benefits. The role includes a car or car allowance. Ideally Educated to Degree Level in Civil Engineering, with a minimum of 10 years previous, relevant heavy civils/tunnelling and construction experience the role of Civils Change Manager is a highly influential role requiring exceptional levels of communication at key stakeholder level.
Fully responsible for the supervision of the client–side change management function, you will contribute towards the end result as agreed with the wider commercial management team. Able to build and maintain a 360–degree relationship with the key stakeholders, the client, the suppliers and sub–contractors are all key elements to the bigger picture. This is a new infrastructure project which requires the implementation of a change management programme of works, with measurable objectives, delivering against KPI's and SLA key points throughout the project lifecycle.
As Civils Change Manager there is a consistent need to assess and deliver both operational and financial outcomes in terms of budget and time scale. Working in collaboration with project teams and supply chain, you will have full responsibility for final decisions, authorising working practices in line with strict with HSQE and Quality compliance standards. Submitting contractual notices and responses to the client requires high levels of verbal and written communication skills combined with a sound legal and commercial knowledge of the civil infrastructure sector.
Working with the project teams there is a need to source and recruit new employees, deliver training and review performance in line with the required standards. Working with local authorities, utility companies and other professionals is a daily requirement and therefore high levels of organisation and structure is the 'norm'.
