Power Electronics Engineer

Job description
Due to the growth of our client’s business, we are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to work at our Client's site in Stevenage. Bristol may also be an option. The successful candidate will develop and provide support to analogue and electro-mechanical design solutions, ideally with technical lead experience.
The successful candidate will be expected to perform the following type of activities:
- Reviewing design technologies and performing trade off studies.
- Schematic capture, simulation and worst case circuit analysis.
- Producing, reviewing technical documentation including manufacturing packs and test procedures.
- Developing the technical solution, in liaison with the other skill domains.
- Running and coordinating the resources to deliver the project tasks for skill area.
- Applying the relevant Client development methods & processes.
- Coordinating and supporting technical problem solving & analysis.
- Definition and support of verification, validation and certification.
- Hardware testing.
- Engineering Degree (or equivalent qualification) in relevant engineering discipline, with significant demonstrable experience.
- Experience working collaboratively in multi-discipline teams to deliver activities on a range of project types.
- Demonstrable experience in covering a variety of tasks across a range of complexities.
- Good communications skills and the ability to interface with other disciplines.
The role requries
- Strong experience in power and analogue electronics. Motor control would be advantageous.
- Electronics design process and product lifecycle understanding.
- Production of professional and concise technical documentation.
- Hybrid working with at least 2 days/week onsite at the Client's location.
