Ward Security is looking for a committed Security Manager to become a valuable member of our team based at 3 Hardman Square, Manchester
Position: Security Manager Salary: £39,500 - £41,500pa Hours: Monday to Friday 07:00-17:00 Location: 3 Hardman Street, Manchester Role & Responsibilities Accountable for the overall management of site security, including manned guarding and physical protection systems Continuously develop and bring forward new innovations associated with security and health & safety to mitigate evolving risks as far as reasonably practicable Lead and line manage the day and night teams of Security Supervisors and Security Officers in all aspects such as continuous professional development/training, welfare, scheduling, holidays, uniform, investigation and disciplinary Transform the team using strong leadership skills to work towards strategic objectives Take lead for the recruitment and ensure building is always manned by closely working with the Ward Scheduling Team and National Operations Centre Support the security operations with an hands-on approach and lead by example by applying best practices and demonstrating professional conduct Manage and take lead in Incident Management Update and advise Account Manager/Director and BNPPRE on any developments or incidents that may adversely impact Belgrave House or Ward Security Produce monthly KPI/SLA reports and presentations to the client and take ownership of any shortcomings Prepare and attend committee meetings e.g. Health & Safety or lead committees if required Review Standard Operating Procedures, Assignment Instructions and Risk Assessments, and make the necessary amendments where required Oversee all audits and ensure their timely completions Oversee the Pass Office and production of any access cards Act as System Manager for CCTV and Access Management systems Ensure absolute conformity to ISO standards and where required, correct any non-conformity as soon as possible following auditors comments Join and build community networks and rapport with local businesses and Victoria BID Regular liaison with police forces such as British Transport Police and Metropolitan Police to stay up to date on local crime and police programmes that may benefit Belgrave House occupiers and Ward Security Organise the Annual Security Awareness Day Enforce Loading Bay Regulations and take responsibility of its operations DPA and GDPR best practices are implemented to mitigate data breaches or violations Ensure security operations and processes are fully compliant with UK regulations Minimum Requirements Valid SIA ‘Door Supervision’ and ‘Public space surveillance (CCTV)’ licence Excellent communication skills, strong customer focus and business acumens Highly competent and experienced in producing reports, presentations, auditing, using MS Suite and other security associated software/systems Be willing and able to work nights and weekends where required Experience within a similar position 5-year checkable work history/vetted to BS7858 Who We Are: Ward Security provides security services solutions to a range of UK businesses.
