Position : Employer Engagement Lead
Location : Remote - 1 to 2 visits to Chester per month
Package: Up to 40k, plus Commission - £250 per apprenticeship start, uncapped
Overview
The Employer Engagement Lead plays a crucial role in fostering and enhancing partnerships with small to medium enterprises (SMEs), large corporations, and various organisations nationwide. This position is pivotal in understanding the intricacies of tech workforce development, identifying skills gaps, and aligning strategic priorities with our suite of tech education solutions, especially focusing on apprenticeship opportunities. The role demands proactive account management and business development efforts to not only maintain existing relationships but also to broaden our client base with new partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Business Development
- Develop a robust pipeline for client sales activities.
- Achieve apprenticeship sales targets in tech disciplines such as Software Development, Cybersecurity, and Data Analysis.
- Facilitate employment opportunities and interviews for graduates from our skills bootcamps.
- Research and engage with potential business clients, crafting tailored business development strategies.
- Coordinate monthly engagements with industry speakers for student enrichment.
- Manage and document all sales and client interactions within our CRM system, ensuring all contracts and documentation are accurate and promptly processed.
- Account Management
- Deliver comprehensive account management services to both new and existing major clients, maintaining regular contact and adapting to their evolving needs.
- Establish and nurture strong, dependable relationships with SMEs and large businesses, positioning our organisation as their go-to for tech talent development.
- Promotion and Engagement
- Organise and execute events and other activities to raise awareness of our offerings within the business community.
- Represent our organisation at partner events and meetings, highlighting the benefits of apprenticeships and bootcamps for enhancing business productivity, social responsibility, and talent retention.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to devise and implement promotional strategies and sales campaigns.
Required Skills and Experience
- A minimum of three years' experience in a technology-related business development or sales role, with a proven track record in apprenticeship sales, recruitment, or consultancy services.
- Demonstrated ability in key account management and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong ability to close deals effectively.
