Infrastructure Engineer - Linux
Salary up to £55,000 salary / Swindon / Hybrid
An exciting IT Services Consultancy is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Infrastructure Engineer to join their service team and provide high level infrastructure support and solutions. This is due to rapid growth of the organisation and team.
The Infrastructure Engineer will be a key member of the team, setting an example for others and using your technical knowledge and skills to resolve problems and deliver projects. They are looking for an Engineer with strong Linux experience who can be a senior subject matter expert in this area.
This role will include/require:
Mentoring colleagues of varying experience and Managing escalations from colleagues and customers
Participation in projects and transitions within secure environments
Managing escalations from colleagues and customers
Linux (RHEL6 onwards or CentOS/Rocky/Alma/Oracle equivalents)
VMware ESX and vCenter in a clustered environment
Working knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g. SolarWinds, Nagios etc)
Ideally experience with Automation or Containerisation tools
SC clearable.
