Our Barnstaple facility is located in North Devon. Founded in 1948, the site now employs approximately 140 employees and features the Aero Stanrew brand of electromagnetic components, printed-circuit board assemblies, cabinet wiring and electronic test equipment for safety critical applications in aerospace and defence, industrial and transportation industries.

OPT IN - Monday to Thursday 7.15am to 5.30pm.Key Responsibilities
Core Requirements
• Demonstrate safe behaviour at all times, and ensure yourself and others in your working areas are safe and not exposed to significant risk.
• Health and Safety awareness and engagement for Self, Team, Site and Operational Machine Safety.
• Coaching, Training, engagement and visual on shop floor to support manufacturing processes.
• Production Engineering Process & Procedure Documentation creation and maintenance.
• Pro active problem identification and solving – using tools and techniques appropriate to task, AS13000 suite of tools, FMEA, PPAP, 8D, MSA etc to drive RFT Production of product.
• Attend and support daily Tier 2 meetings as required
• Key player within delivery team – focussed on RFT and OTD
• Ensure Quotes are completed On time and RFT.
• Produce all Manufacturing documentation needs in process – providing BS, Routings, Standard Work Instructions etc.
• Complete Customer Red Line Drawing reviews to ensure all requirements are resolved and clear for effective manufacture.
• Effectively manage timely Change Control in manufacturing.
• New product Introduction – using tools such as APQP, PPAP etc to deliver RFT NPI.
• You may be required from time to time to undertake such other duties as the company may reasonably require.
Desireable Skills and Experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively at all levels.
• Good Understanding AS9100 and Business Management Systems.
• Be able to influence key stakeholders and cross functional teams to achieve key business objectives and deliver process improvement.
• Able to create and work to KPI’s in a performance driven business environment.
• Good time and priority management.
• Ability to facilitate and lead where appropriate effective RCCA problem solving events with a cross functional team.
• Work well under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
• Able to and confident in presenting to the wider organisation.
• Ability to think and act strategically across all the support areas.
• Bias towards action – a completer finisher.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong Technical bias
• A high standard of Maths and English.
• A degree or relevant experience in mechanical/electronic engineering.
• Competency in Microsoft Office for the preparation of documentation.
• Demonstrated experience of problem solving – relentless root cause.
• PPAP / Lean Manufacturing/ CI qualification and or relevant experience in application of lean tools and creations of improvement plans. (Six sigma)
• Strong presentation skills.
• Competent in Leading Teams.
