Job description
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Contracts Manager to join a growing organisation based in the Aberdeen/shire area. Our client is looking for an experienced Construction Contracts Manager to join them on a full-time, permanent basis. As a Contracts Manager you will have previous experience within a busy construction environment and have the ability to prioritise your workload.
Due to continued contract wins our client is looking to expand their commercial team with a like-minded individual. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of nominated projects, ensuring each project is completed on time, to the highest quality and within the relevant cost / revenue targets. You will liaise with site personnel and client representatives on a daily basis to ensure all health and safety on site is in full control.
The key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Attend team briefings & deliver tool box talks.
- Liaise regularly with other contract managers to ensure resources are available.
- Conduct audits on site and report on the findings.
- Be the key point of contact between client and company personnel.
- Review project specifications.
- Attend the relevant meetings related to the design and progress of projects.
- Review all design changes and asses accordingly.
- Ensure all personnel are adhering to our clients policies & procedures.
- Ensure all materials, plant and labour is organised accordingly for each project.
- Facilitate any project variations.
The key skills / experience / knowledge required:
- At least 5 years’ experience within a similar position within the construction industry.
- CSCS Card
- SMSTS
- First Aid certificate
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Previous experience leading a team.
- NRSWA Supervisor
- Excellent problem solving skills
