Hays Healthcare are actively recruiting Band 6 Community Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic Rehabilitation team in Blackburn. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing holistic treatment to patients of all age groups, helping them improve their ability to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments.
Your new role and responsibilities - Provide an occupational therapy service within a defined area on each rotation, working as part of a specialist occupational therapy team.
- Undertake therapeutic assessments of patients within a diverse complex and acute/chronic presentation to determine clinical diagnosis and occupational therapy treatments needed, and to maintain records as an autonomous practitioner.
- Responsibility for handling own caseload without direct supervision
- Supervise and train healthcare professionals in occupational therapy management where appropriate.
What you'll need to succeed
- A BSc or diploma in Occupational Therapy
- Registered Occupational Therapist with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Member of RCOT
- Experience working with individuals and groups with a range of complex presentations in an inpatient and day patient setting
