Job description
We are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical Engineering background to join our team and supervise the safe operation and maintenance of electrical systems within a large site within the Tameside region of Greater Manchester.

The Role:
As the Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be primarily responsible for working closely with a team of multi-disciplined engineers and multi-skilled shift craftspeople.
In the job you will be tasked with the following:
• Maximising plant up time and minimise plant down time.
• Communicating at all levels of engineering and production departments the status of plants and ongoing projects
• Investigating, reporting, and resolving repetitive engineering faults
• Providing technical support to all departments ensuring safe and efficient maintenance
• Maintaining the maintenance system logs, follow up actions, fault, and diagnosis.
• Carrying out risk assessments, issuing permits to work and supervising engineering contractors
• Designing, building, and commissioning control system upgrades and plant improvement projects
• Carrying out inspection and testing of electrical installations and portable appliances
• Organising and supervising planned work.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate for the role would have extensive knowledge working in an industrial manufacturing environment and is familiar with three phase equipment, inverters, and industrial machinery.
In addition, you'll need the following:
• Have strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, ideally with relevant qualifications such as IOSH/NEBOSH (Preferred)
• Hold previous experience working within a large site building, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
• Have excellent people management skills. Previous roles could include being a team leader, supervisor, or manager.
• 17th / 18th edition.
