Job description
A market-leading energy storage business based in Surrey is currently recruiting a Lead Test Engineer to join its failure analysis/simulation team on a permanent basis. As their Lead Test Engineer you will play a vital role in assembling and operating test equipment to support product development activities whilst having the ability to continuously improve diagnostic methodologies.
Lead Test Engineer responsibilities
- Assembly instrumentation and operation of test equipment to support product development activities.
- Develop and perform test programmes per documented procedures.
- Data analysis and dissemination.
- Technical report writing and presentation.
- Application of defined testing procedures with a focus on quality and repeatability
- Provide continuous feedback to the team to refine and enhance testing and diagnostics protocols.
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of testing and
- diagnostic protocols.
- Testing at test cell unit cell short stack full stack and product levels
- Generation verification analysis and reporting of test data.
- Continuous development and improvement of testing and diagnostic methodologies.
Lead Test Engineer requirements
- Degree qualification in an engineering discipline.
- Proven experience working and testing on fuel cells.
- Practical Hands-on skills relating to prototyping assembling and testing.
- Understanding of physical failure methods and approaches to root cause analysis.
- Able to present findings to senior management for accurate and timely decision-making.
- Effective communicator; appropriate concise and accurate information in written and verbal formats.
- Comfortable multi-tasking prioritising activities and planning work effectively to ensure project deadlines are met.
