Job description

Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit a Security Team Lead for an initial 2 month contract - with potential to extend on a rate of £15.44/hour PAYE (Inside IR35). This role will be based in Clydebank.

 
Responsibilities:

 
- Managing and supervising security team across a large complex.
- Coordinate rotas and timesheets across the team.
- Provide training to new and existing members of staff.
- Give direction on processes and coordinate an effective and safe security operation.

 
Essential Skills:

 
- Knowledge and experience of relevant legislation, statutory obligations and requirements to Health, Safety and Security.
- Experience in supporting H&S training material development and delivery of such courses.
- Extensive experience within a Supervisory and/or management role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent supervisory skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to conduct training.
- Ability to inspire, motivate and reassure staff.
- Ability to assess risks and take or recommend appropriate action or mitigation.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
- Physically fit.
- Flexibility in working hours
- Willingness to be flexible in their approach to tasks, with a view to supporting a broad range of Health, Safety and Security related tasks.
- Able to communicate well with patients, staff and visitors.
- Maturity / self-awareness, commitment to team working

 
Desirable Skills:
- Technical Member ship of IOSH
- Relevant technical qualification or NEBOSH General Certificate
- Knowledge /experience of working in the health service.
- Experience in supporting policy development and implementation.
- Experience of Security systems such as CCTV, card access, key management.
- Experience of training and instruction in PPE and RPE
- Experience of setting objectives, team and individual appraisal and disciplinary issues.
- Experience in control and management of violence and aggression.
- Extensive Knowledge of Security Protocols
- Knowledge of FFP3 mask fit testing processes.
