Our Maintenance team based in South London are looking for a roofer to join their newly established in house roofing team. The roofers work within a roofing and labourer team reporting to a Roofing Supervisor for the patch.
Our roofers will be carrying out a range of small and larger repairs to our occupied properties. We will expect you to have effective communication skills, have experience of working in a building and/or housing maintenance environment including knowledge of a varied housing stock.
Customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance to L&Q and as a first line of contact to our residents we expect you to have outstanding customer service and ability to deliver a right first-time service. Limiting follow ons and increasing customer satisfaction.
We require our roofers to be experienced with fibre-glass coating for repairs, lead work, valleys and flashing.
We need someone with excellent attention to detail and good knowledge of Health and Safety, especially when working at height.
You will be expected to carry out a wide range of roofing and flat roofing repairs. Inclusive of relaying slate, wide range of tiles, lead flashing, pointing to verges and chimney stacks, fascia and soffit repairs, rainwater goods and other general repairs.
Our in-house maintenance team core hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm in general. There is an opportunity to earn extra money from out of hours work and call outs.
To be considered for this role candidates will require/be:
· Sound working trade knowledge and experience.
· Able to deliver excellent customer service.
· Right first-time approach
. icopal tickets would be preferred but not essential
· Health and safety conscious
· Previous experience in a similar role.
· Single Ply Membrane specialist preferred
· Able to use a tablet
