A fantastic opportunity is now available for you to join one of the UK’s largest independent healthcare providers as a Medical Secretary.
Their Bolton hospital (rated “Good” in all areas) currently offers a wide array of planned health services - including specialist surgeries, dietetic support, and bespoke physiotherapy – to both NHS and self-funded visitors.
As a Medical Secretary, you will be the main liaison between consultants, clients, and other hospital departments, with duties including:
- responding to enquiries and requests.
- producing and maintaining accurate documentation.
- providing the highest possible standard of secretarial and clerical support.
You will therefore play a key role in keeping medical services running efficiently and effectively, ensuring patients’ healthcare journeys remain as smooth and stress-free as possible.
This is a permanent, full-time role (37.5 hours/week) for a Medical Secretary.
Person specification:
- (Essential) Previous experience as a Secretary – specific experience as a Medical Secretary is highly preferred.
- (Essential) GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English Language at Grade C or above / Grade 4-9.
- (Essential) A high standard of computer proficiency – a relevant qualification, such as in Administration or Word Processing Techniques, is highly desirable.
- (Essential) The ability to deal with sensitive issues using an empathetic and professional approach.
