Job description

Axcis are pleased to be working with a mainstream school in Lichfield who are looking to recruit a special needs TA to help support a child with Autism and ADHD on a 1:1 basis.

Job details:
• Full time (8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday)
• Working alongside the class teacher and other teaching assistants
• Starting ASAP
• Supporting a child with complex Autism on a 1:1 basis
• Supporting all needs such as challenging behaviour

What you need to apply…
• Experience working with autism and ADHD is ESSENTIAL
• Experience working supporting challenging behaviour is HIGHLY
DESIRABLE
• Experience with Makaton and/or PECS would be advantageous but not
essential for this post.
• A current DBS or must be willing to obtain one
• Minimum of 2 good references – Essential

Please note this position is temporary, however there would be view of you to go permanent depending on performance.
