Job description

Nursery People have an exciting new vacancy for a Room Leader with a wonderful nursery in Surrey.

You will be joining a friendly nursery with ‘little people’ at the heart of everything they do, to facilitate an enabling environment in which the children can play, develop and learn.

From fun educational games, to providing a safe environment where kids can grow, you will be at the heart of it all! You will be developing physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children as well as being part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, develop and learn. As a room leader you will have previous experience of supervising and supporting staff across the nursery. You will be sure to keep all them happy with a big smile on their faces.

Responsibilities:

• Creating a fun, educational setting for all children and ensuring their safety at all times
• Manage the room setting and communicate roles to the room team
• Effectively deliver the EYFS framework and ensuring that the individual needs and interests of children are met
• Making sure that all nursery process and procedures are followed

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Minimum of a relevant and recognised level 3 childcare qualification previous experience of managing or leading a team
• Recent Paediatric First Aid certificate
• Clear communication skills
• To work as part of a team
