As a Food, Safety and Quality Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the FSQ Departments deliver the Technical and Quality assurance function required by both legislation and our customers. This will include cascading and delivering key performance targets, managing teams and budgets as well as actively promoting best practice and striving for excellence in food safety.
The successful candidate will report to both the Site Operations Manager and the UK FSQ Manager. The role will be multi-site/across the Westcountry. Standard hours would be 7.00 - 16.00 Monday to Friday. Salary dependent on experience.
- Ensure food safety legislation information is up to date and cascaded to operational and technical personnel to maintain compliance with site quality systems, HACCP, health and hygiene and health and safety regulations.
- Support support site operations and management by providing specialist, professional technical advice on all matters within the FSQ arena.
- Ensure that sites and teams are adequately prepared for customer visits and audits both in terms of resource and processes.
- Build and develop critical interdepartmental relationships between the site and our customers/auditors to establish Dunbia as the number one supplier of choice thereby supporting the operational and commercial teams at site level.
- Actively promote best practice and strive for the sites to achieve standards of excellence by identifying and implementing corrective actions for non-conformances, provide effective and timely monitoring of all performance data to ensure that improvements, where identified, are realized
Job Description: Experience, Qualifications, Skills and abilities:
- At least 2 years Technical/FSQ experience with clear track record of achievement and team management/leadership
- Graduate calibre, with food quality/safety qualifications such as Level 4 HACCP, Level 4 Food Safety Training, Internal Audit Training, allergen training
- Pro-active and highly motivated individual
- Attention to detail and a thorough approach; even when operating under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, manage workload and prioritise tasks
- Flexible, with the capability to adapt to a dynamic working environment
