Job Title: Support Worker
Location: Cannock
Pay rate: £11.57 - £12.32 per hour
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent, 37.5 hours
Shift and schedule: Weekend availability

Priority Recruitment are excited to present this brand-new opportunity for a Residential Support Worker in Cannock
This is an excellent opportunity to join a residential home for children and young people, rated Good in all areas by OFSTED. The residents live with learning disabilities, epilepsy, and/or autism and may display some associated behaviours.
We are searching for Support Workers who share our belief that disability is not a barrier, and it doesn’t have to stop our residents from living their best life and enjoying new and varied experiences. Previous experience in care is preferred, but not essential.

Company and Role:

- Residential home for Children & Young People, accommodating up to 6 residents.
- The home prides itself on being rated Good in all areas by OFSTED.
- The conditions the residents live with include a range of learning disabilities, epilepsy, and autism.
- Many of the residents are non-verbal or have limited communication and will communicate through different methods, including picture boards, Smartbox devices and Makaton.
- Some personal care may be involved, in addition to companionship, taking part in celebrations, events, fundraising, and other ways of interacting with the local community.

Successful Applicant:

- Must be able to drive
- Must have minimum of 1 year experience in childcare in the UK.
- Previous experience in care is preferred, but not essential – training will be provided.
- Able to work unsociable hours (evenings, nights, and weekends).
